Starting a new job and may be pregnant

I’m starting a new job (dream job at that) in less than a week and my period is late. I’m freaking out! How can I start a new job and be pregnant? Has anyone experienced this? I’m happy and scared at the same time. Ugh! How to break the news to them? This is crazy!
