When did you give your baby puréed food?

I'm wanting to make my own food for her, or attempt to have a majority of it be made at home, not store bought in a jar. I was curious to see the difference in ages that everyone started letting their baby try things like applesauce, puréed vegetables etc.

Our pediatrician recommend at 4 months because our baby showed all the signs ready for solids. We just started today at 4.5 months with an avocado. I was very hesitant at first but I feel confident in my decision from doing research on it. Wait until your doctor recommends it and do your own research on it. Absolutely do not give anything before 4 months, generally 6 months is said to be when to do it but between 4-6 is widely considered acceptable.

At 6 months. I started making purees for her for the first month. They don’t eat much at first and I wanted to freeze smaller portions for her (they don’t finish a whole jar when they first start). 
I pureed sweet potato, squash, and pees. When we ran out of that, I transitioned to the store bought baby food for convenience.

We skipped purées and started letting baby eat meals with us at 6 months old. It's called baby lead weaning.

Pediatrician told us 4 mo twice a day. My daughter has always been interested in food. But she hates the puréed stuff. So I slacked on giving it to her. Now at 6 months she’s trying really hard to take my food, so I give her just soft stuff. Give her puréed and she acts like she’s not hungry 😑

We started at 5/6 months and I make the food at home. I steam the fruit or veggie, puree it then freeze it in an ice cube tray

My little girl was about 3months old. Early you say? Well when she was born every time I would feed her she would just throw the whole bottle up, after changing her milk and getting no change I took her to the doctor who gave her soya milk again no different, they eventually referred me to a paediatricIan who gave her milk thickener, this stoped the sickness and gave her a bad tummy, she was underweight and no one seemed to give a shit, so I started her on food, she still would be sick with anything dairy but started to gain weight which was the main thing, she now eats fine and loves yogurts ect. Anyways point is they usually say 6 month but I don’t see no harm in trying any earlier. Good luck
