Changing place of delivery ??

Is it too late to change the hospital I’m due to deliver at??? I’m in Philadelphia and I’m supposed to deliver at Einstein hospital but I️ dont like it and have no clue how to switch.

Whatever you do make sure your insurance definitely covers the hospital and dr you choose! You don’t want to pay those bills out of pocket in the end if they don’t other than that go wherever you feel comfortable! 🙂

nope not to late, you can choose to go to a different one the day you deliver just walk in and they will admit you. It is that simple . But just make sure your current  OB delivers at that hospital.

I’m also in Philadelphia. I choose Jefferson. Call the hospital you want to go to and see what they say. Some hospitals have certain policies so just check to be sure. I started off with Drexel and inquired about Jefferson and because of that Drexel declined to see me and I had to get my insurance switched over to get in at Jefferson

I'm also delivering at Penn-all things going well, I'll be in the Birth Suite(low intervention floor). I'm seeing the midwives and have been really happy so far. Even if you're in labor, you can go where you want! Einstein will probably give you a hard time because they're losing your "business," but I'd be firm that you are switching doctors, etc and they can deal.

Deliver at Penn it was THE best experience. You may have to switch ObGym depending on where your doc has admission privileges but if you have to switch ObGyn I can recommend Dr. Timothy Shawl. I've since moved out of the area and am heartbroken that he won't be delivering my second - he's absolutely awesome.
