ULTRASOUND UPDATE*** Surprise 1st IUI Tomorrow

Baby Mama to #3 • 👼🏻💙1/17/18 🌈👶🏼💖12/30/18 👶🏼💖 9/28/20

I will try to remain as brief as possible. Hubby and I have been TTC for 2 years now. I was on 50mg of clomid for 4 months starting this May, all of which gave me peak ovulation results (I’ve never had that beautiful smiley face). No BFP. OBGYN bumped me up to two rounds of 100mg of Clomid. Blood test came back great. Still no BFP. Met with the fertility specialist who did my husbands semen analysis (results came back normal for his swimmers). He lowered me back to 50mg of Clomid since I was getting positive results with that consistently. This was my first month back on 50mg.

Today (11/6/17) is CD 16. We went it for an ultrasound to check my follicles. Left ovary is plump and ready to drop an egg ‘any moment’. We also did the post-coital test to see how his sperm are doing after intercourse. There were live, swimming sperm, but not close to what there should be. The doctor said ‘we should do a trigger shot today and IUI first thing tomorrow.’ My husband looked at me and said ‘we are all in’, so I got the shot in my bum and scheduled the appts. I am so incredibly excited and scared at the same time.

We have wanted this baby for so long that it hurts every month AF shows up. I am scared to do anything for the next two weeks so that this will work. I know sometimes they don’t work on the first go, but just once I would like this journey to go my way.

Anyone have any IUI tips/tricks/advice for the newbie blindly jumping in with both feet??

UPDATE: At 1115 today the IUI was completed. I found it slightly cramping at one point, but not unbearable at all. Husbands sperm was 79% swimming, which the RE said is good. We have an ideal situation, but still only a 30% chance of conceiving through IUI. After the procedure the RE placed a plug inside of me against the cervix. I was to remain laying down on the table for 20-30 minutes. The plug needed to stay in for at least and hour, so I left it for two 😂. And now the two week wait. Going to BD tonight and hopefully again tomorrow to increase the swimmers. Thanks again for reading. Excited and nervous!!

UPDATE #2:

Update #3: below is our 7 week ultrasound. Baby is measuring perfectly. Up nice and High in my uterus. And the heartbeat was about 133 BPM. We are already so in love with this little sweet pea.
