I'm so confused why so many Americans think strict gun laws or taking away guns entirely wont help the issue here... After Australia banned their guns, they haven't had a mass shooting in YEARS. I live in Canada and obtaining a gun is so damn difficult but mass shootings are rare here too. If the problem is "mental health", then are you guys saying there are more mentally ill people in the States as opposed to other countries with less gun violence? And then people will say "oh but there are stabbings in those countries!!". While that is true, there will be far less casualties through a knife than a damn gun lol.

Chicago has the strictest gun laws, and also the most gun crime. I’m not saying there shouldn’t be strict laws, but clearly it’s not foolproof.

"We need to stop Muslims and mentally ill people from obtaining guns!" Ummm... What? So when we had a Muslim shooting, Trump blamed the religion. When we had a white guy pull the trigger, it was just a 'mental health issue.' Just remember, in the US, if you are accused of domestic violence you can still buy a gun. Seems like our lawmakers are the mentally ill ones.

At this point i think the second Amendment should just be revoked. The only defense people have as to why we should keep it is bc people like hunting as a hobby or shit like that. Find a new hobby boo!! u killing that buck and his family isn’t helping yourself or the earth!!! it’s devastating to wake up everyday and hear about more innocent lives being taken.

I'm from the uk. Guns are illegal unless you are a farmer (who has had an extremely thorough backround check. Also you may never take it off your farm. Also i think they are only allowed certain guns as well) or a police officer. we have so few shootings that I don't actually remember ever hearing of one. Overall I feel safe and think that America is stupid for acting like banning guns will stop nothing when everywhere else has banned guns and is doing great.

Well when you look into information about a lot of these shooting most of these people wouldn’t have been able to buy guns so I don’t really think that would do much because if someone wants to do something they’ll find a way.
