Safe Crib Set Up?

Question

Does anyone know if having a curtain type thing around the crib is safe? We will be sharing our room with baby for maybe first 6 months and just want to be able block out light. I'm attaching pics I found online.

I'd say not safe. It could fall and once baby can roll and grab it is going to have to come down anyway.

They should be fine as long as they arent closed all the way so the baby can breathe but i would also see if they can be put a little farther out from the crib

I would suggest hanging the rods out from the crib. Using cup hooks or something in the ceiling to hang curtain rod. That's what we did with our daughters crib in our old house. We had a corner of our bedroom just for her and hung curtain about a foot out from crib down the length and across at the end. Worked great. Was perfectly safe that distance away and out of reach.

If it’s to block light in the room from being in the crib maybe look at hanging it from the ceiling like a divider

I’m not sure if those are safe but have you considered black out curtains for the room? That should block out any light.

I️ don’t view them as safe. They could fall and baby could grab them and twist them around themselves or aid in said falling. We have blackout curtains on our windows and love them.

Honestly, I’d say no. I had those when I was younger and they constantly fell into my bed and I was always getting them wrapped around my body & neck. So personally I wouldn’t put them in my son’s room, but that’s just my opinion!
