Too old??

So imma keep the long story short...
I’m 19 and I’ve kind of been looking around to see what’s out there dating wise. So there is this boy at the hospital I work at in a different department and he is fine, but he said he is 25 😕 he told me his birthday and it made me realize that he is a year younger than my brother so that’s kinda basically like dating one of my brothers friends...plus I don’t know how my parents would feel about the 6 year age gap....do you guys think he is too old? Should I look for something else? He knows how old I am and it didn’t scare him away....🤷🏽‍♀️

I feel that the age gap isn't that big of a deal and is fine. But with you being 19 and him 25 you're both at very different places in your life.

I'm 21 and my boyfriend is 26. I am still figuring things out and he has a good job. I am more mature just not as settled. He has to understand that you both are at different places in life and that things that he's already experienced, you are just starting to. I don't think it's too bad but I also don't know you two personally.

You’re the only one that can decide if a six year age gap is too much. 
My ex husband and I were 7 months apart, and at completely different places in our lives. I was more mature and he wasn’t as forecast to settle down as he thought he was. After our divorce I said I would never date anyone more than 5 years older than me because it would be too weird. 
I’m now 26 and dating a 41 year old and it’s seriously the greatest. We get along great and have so much in common. It truly doesn’t even feel like there’s an age gap between us. People have a hard time believing that we could be happy with a 15 year difference between us, but we are the happiest either of us has ever been.

Depends. If it's just a hook up, whatever. But if you're looking for something serious, I would say it depends on you guys mindset. Is he willing to understand you're still starting out your life just now and focusing in your future career (if he had already started his)? Are you willing to understand that he has different priorities than you (he may have been planning to start having kids in less time than you, or saving for a house while you're still paying your tuition off)? it depends, i'm a 16 year old and i can have a friendship but also a stronger relationship with a 24 year old. Some people think that is not okay but it is the personality that counts. Sometimes there are huge differences in how your life works, for example i'm still in high school, he was working and living on his own. If the person is right, you make it work. It didn't totally work out in my situation but that was just because we knew we liked eachother but knew that we wouldn't last. Age doesn't always matter. as long as he is a good person

I don’t think it’s weird, I know people with a 10+ age gap who are perfect for each other and extremely happy. They just took their relationship slow and made sure the age gap didn’t affect anything for them personally. And a lot of times girls are more mature than guys so honestly you may be closer than you think to the same maturity level which always helps relationships. But make sure and be careful.
