Forgive me if I'm stating the obvious, but go to the prep classes your hospital offers you. Bring your partner, too.

I took a labor and delivery (childbirth) class, a breastfeeding class, and a newborn care class.

I have been around babies before, but I still found a lot of the information to be helpful (probably the newborn care class least so, but still worth it if you have the option). Plus, it was almost entirely worth it just to see my husband's face during those graphic videos. Lol. I hadn't previously considered how in the dark HE was about what was happening/will happen.

Now we're both feeling relatively confident and much more at ease.
