What do you think about dumpster diving?

I don't mean this in terms of a homeless person, when you're in need, you're in need.

Question came to me specifically when, for whatever reason, YouTube recommended a girls dumpster diving video. So I watched. And then saw there are so many! And these are women, who have homes and good clothing, and just aren't in need.

So what do you think? While I know it's wasteful for companies to sometimes dump unused or "test" products, I also think it's super inconvenient that stores have to watch out for people in their dumpsters (if you owned a business, you wouldn't want customers seeing people jumping around the dumpster) and even take excessive measures of squeezing everything out and destroy everything.
