App and doctor estimate the same?

I keep hearing stories about the due date being weeks off of when the app suggest. Has anyone gone to the doctor and are exactly as far along as you thought? Example- thought you were 7w3d and that’s what baby is measuring.

Yep. I conceived on my 2nd cycle off of bc so my cycle wasn't regular (1st cycle was 40 days). According to when I got my period, I  was 9w1d. Had the ultrasound and I measured at 9w1d. I thought for sure it was going to be off by at least a few days but it was spot on.

Measuring right at 6 weeks which is where I’m at.  But I calculated my due date from ovulation not LMP.  It’s more accurate

My app said 7 weeks 1 day,  went to my appointment and they said I'm measuring exactly on track at 7 weeks 1 day.

My first ultrasound was 10/26. From my LMP I was 6w4d and that's exactly how I measured.

App said baby is 6 weeks, ultrasound measured 5 weeks 6 days. So yes, almost the same!😊

I can't explain being weeks off unless someone's "period" wasn't rlly an period but rather random bleeding or if they misread ovulation tests. So the dates don't match up. 
Otherwise I think some discrepancy is a result of not knowing when you actually ovulated ( because you can ovulate 24-36 hrs after a positive lh serge ) and because we can't pinpoint when implantation occurs. So the rate at which the baby has developed can be affected. 
For example when I calculated my due date from the day of my last period vs the date I ovulated I got 2 different answers ( about 1 week apart)
