Extremely Irregular Periods

All my life my period has never been on any set schedule, but it would only be late or early by approximately a week give or take. These days I will go 5 months without a period, then suddenly AF is here with a vengeance. I will bleed for a month straight. Then 2 months without a period, light bleed for a day or two, then it completely stops for a few days, then it's like a shark attack for weeks; cramping and so. much. blood. Then 4 heavenly months of no-period... What's the deal here? It DOES NOT seem have any type of pattern whatsoever. I'm not on BC. Me and my SO have been TTC for 5 yrs, with no luck. I have no children. I'm only 23. Unfortunately I have zero funds for doc. I'm so confused.. If any ladies have insight I would appreciate!
