Stopping the pill

Hi ladies. Welcomed my baby boy to the world on 10.07.16. My doctor put me on Jolivette birth control while I’ve been breast feeding. My son is now 13 months and we want to try for baby #2. How long after stopping the pill will my period return? We are ttc but I can’t even guess when I’m ovulating bc I haven’t had a period since before I got pregnant. Do I have to have a period before getting pregnant again??
