No because they ask you if you've had unprotected sex in the last 10 days, and then if you have they draw blood to make sure your not pregnant because them inserting an IUD and you being pregnant carry great risk of miscarriage and other problems. In the OB office I worked for you didn't get it inserted until blood came back negative.
