She can’t go forward!

While we were thrilled to have all original hard wood floors in our first home together, it’s proving futile for a baby. She is trying so hard to crawl but is in the scooting backwards phase. She can get into position to crawl forward but her knees slide back every time she tries. We have foam pads on the floor for when she’s roaming around but that’s too slick too. We don’t have her go pantsless because it’s 20 degrees and our floors will always be cold no matter how warm it is inside our home. Are there such things as knee gripper pads for babies? Or has anyone rigged some that helped them learned to push off with their knees the right way?
