Kyleena IUD
Hello ladies,
I just wanted to share this story for everyone with an IUD. So, I had my IUD placed September 14th. Today, Nov 9th, I had it removed. I was one of the unfortunate few who developed Pelvic inflammatory disease. There is evidence that states you can safely treat pelvic inflammatory disease with leaving the IUD still in place, but I personally was not comfortable with that. I'm now on 2 antibiotics for the next two weeks. So please be aware of your symptoms. My only symptom was pelvic pain and a low grade fever. Negative cultures except yeast. Listen to your bodies. This doesn't happen to everyone, but it happened to me. Good luck!
