Cervical mucus after having a baby... 9 months pp tmi

I had my baby 9 months ago, and since then I have been having very stringy rubbery yellow discharge (sometimes can be darkish), no smell itch pain or discomfort. Sometimes it's like ovulation mucus kind of clearer but majority of the time a lot thicker and stretchy. I have had swabs done 3 months ago and all clear of infections, also Tested for Sti's when pregnant all clear. So just wondering If anyone knows when this will calm down or if they have experienced the same after having a baby? The Dr said it's normal and hormones take up to a year to settle down, it's just making me feel gross! Drinking plenty of water but not doing the trick :-( please just comments who have experienced this or can comment on after birth discharge x thanks x <3
