Who else is still breastfeeding?

Who else is still breastfeeding and how long do you think you'll breastfeed for? Has is gotten easier for you? Do you truly believe it's the amazing bonding experience that everyone says it is? I'm planning on breastfeeding until he's 6 months old, mainly because I'd like to have a life at some point. It had definitely gotten easier but it is still a struggle sometimes. I think it is an amazing bonding time for us but he doesn't recognize my husbands voice or make eye contact with him the same way he does with me. That makes me feel like I'm taking away from their bonding time.

I breast feed strongly now for 2 months I love the bonding with my little man at one point got a little slow but my supply built back up and I am feeding my Lil man 2-3 hours about 25 minutes each breast total of 50 mins.

Yep it's great! Luckily I had no problems ever since leaving hospital after 12hrs. He's a great feeder, I never had pain or latching problems, I guess I was one of the lucky ones. He is a great sleeper to and settles himself. Hopefully it all stays this way! He's a happy baby!

My son is 9 weeks old and we are still exclusively breastfeeding! It has been a breeze for us since he was about two weeks old, that was the most stressful point, but ever since then it's been amazing! I plan on breastfeeding until he's at least a year old, maybe longer. And I do believe it's an amazing bonding experience, I love it! I let his dad hold him a lot during the day and interact with him & their bonding seems to be going good!

I am still but slowly drying up and it breaks my heart! I am also still giving him formula because I can't fill him up. I love the bonding and the convience of my boobs lol. I don't think it will be much longer for us because I hardly have any milk. I also go back to work in 2 weeks so I plan on pumping at work and hopefully nursing at night but we'll see how it goes. I recommended breastfeeding to every new mother, I love it.

Iris will be 6 weeks on Saturday and I'm exclusively breastfeeding. We had some issues (bad latch that resulted in super painful nipples, low supply) early on due to being separated in the hospital for her first 3 days, but since about 3 weeks ago things have been going much better. I had to supplement with pumped milk and formula for a while but have been off that for 2 weeks now (yay!). Of course now we need to start bringing the bottles back pretty soon so that I can have a life 😊

It hasn't been easy for sure, some mornings I wake up super engorged and some days my nipples still hurt or are super sensitive! But I do really enjoy the bonding and don't even mind the middle of the night feedings because it means I get to cuddle her. I'm off work until school starts in late August (she'll be 4.5 months), at which point I plan to pump and then breastfeed at night. I would love to keep breastfeeding, even if only a few times per day, until she's a year old.

We've been through the ringer (tongue tie and low production; infected nipples; around the clock pumping; plugged ducts) but at sox weeks are finally getting into a groove. My goal is one year but six months would be ok too. I'm actually a little jealous that my husband's relationship is fuller; if my baby is even the slightest bit hungry, our hang turns into a feeding, whereas she might have just chilled or played with her dad. Anyway.., Hang in there, ladies!

I would recommend maybe pumping every once in a while and save some milk so your SO can help and bond also..my boyfriend does this a couple times a week and our son ADORES him...he smiles for him all the time.

I plan on breastfeeding until about 6 months old...something about a grown child there really disturbs me..no offense to anyone else who does..I would still like to pump and freeze my milk so when that 6 month comes along then I can still Gove him breast milk in a bottle for a little longer..

Just wanted to let you ladies know that I've heard drinking Malta is a great way to up your milk supply. I drank it once and felt really full a couple hours later. Hope it works for the few of you who are struggling with your supply.

I'm thinking 6 months at LEAST, but not sure how much longer I can go after that for the same reason you said! I will surely try. Maybe there will be a new, better routine by the time LO is six months. We'll see!
