Wife to best friend?

so me and my husband are recently married and weve never really been that "best friend" couple but lately i feel lile sometimes he needs a friend more than his wife and i need him to be my friend more than my husband...you know? i just dont know how to transition between the two and re establish that friendship we had when we were dating to alleviate some of the pressures of being married.
