When to wash baby clothes?

FTM- looking for advice from others! When is a good time to wash newly bought baby clothes? I was to get as much done as I can before I get too big and tired. 24 weeks today, due date March 3. Everything will be hung up after in a closed closet.

Get it done while you have the energy! Towards the end i was exhausted and miserable. It was so time consuming but I got it done and it was nice to know he had everything washed and put away.

I️ did it once I️ went in maternity leave. I️ had 4 weeks before his baby came, and my friend gave me a whole tub full of clothes, so I️ washed them all in one day. I️ was about 36 weeks.

I had all of mine washed, dried, and put away around 26 weeks. I had the same thought process with the holidays coming up and my physical job, that I would be too big and tired to do it as we approached January. So it’s all done and waiting for him!

I say it's never too early! I'm 33 weeks and in the process of moving and then I'll have my own washer and dryer to wash clothes and I'm a little stressed out waiting so long! I'm ready to get his room all ready and relax a little before he comes. Just be sure to use baby safe detergent. I got clear detergent with no added dyes or perfumes that is pediatrician recommended for sensitive skin.

My baby shower was at 30 weeks. The next day I started washing everything, including all the hand-me-downs my sister and friends had given me. I'm very glad I did it then, at 31 weeks I went into preterm labor! I'm now 34+3 and on bed rest so I can't do anything 😭 My husband has been really awesome, he moved the recliner into the nursery so I could lay there and direct him where to put things ❤️

I’m 39 weeks 4 days and just washed all his clothes, sheets, blankets, etc. My little man is super cozy and I know he will be overdue 🙈😂
