I’m kind of annoyed with my husbands family and my family. Both of our birthdays are in December + Christmas, so since we’ve been together they have combined our presents and Christmas presents or just take us to dinner for our birthdays, which is fine. However, now, we are expecting our first little one in April, a boy, and everyone is telling us to expect baby items for our bday and Christmas gifts... i just feel like this is wrong and that that’s what a baby shower is for? I haven’t asked for much over the past few years but this year i actually have a list of makeup items that’s i want and a gift card to a spa. I’m tired of looking awful all the time and my skin needs help and i would like to start looking presentable even though pregnancy takes it out of me. I don’t want to seem ungrateful, but i am upset about this.
