How long did it take your preemies to become social?

My twins were born at 33 weeks. Right now they are 15 weeks old, 8 weeks adjusted. We're still waiting for eye contact and social smiles. We get a little, but it's not consistent.

Im just 11 weeks with my twins but I'm a speech therapist who works with kids 0-3 years old and Im contracted through regional center. Most of my kids get infant development and services are free.

Have you thought about contacting regional center for an evaluation? They could probably be getting Infant develoment and occupational therapy.
