6-8 week ‘Peak Of Fussiness’
Okay. So my baby has been a generally happy kid. However, He’s 7 1/2 weeks and a couple of days ago he became VERY fussy. Not inconsolable necessarily, we can calm him down normally but he definitely cries a lot more then before. He also has had very bad gas. It has made feeding him seem IMPOSSIBLE. He is exclusively formula fed and he has done fine with it until 2 days ago. He cries when I️ give him the bottle and cries because he’s hungry. He spits up a lot more and it seems like his tummy is always upset. He also won’t nap during the day unless he is held. It seems like his gas wakes him up and upsets him. We give him gas drops and gripe water, which does help, but certainly doesn’t fix anything!
I’ve read that there is this ‘peak of fussiness’ around 6-8 weeks and that it can cause babies to grow restless and irritable. I️ don’t believe he has reflux and he’s already on sensitive formula which he’s been doing great with until like 2-3 days ago.
I’m wondering if other people have gone through this as well? Did it seem to resolve around 8 weeks? I’m hangin on the edge here hoping it’s just a phase! He’s been eating smaller more frequent meals again and it’s killing my nerves because feeding him is so terrible right now 😭😫
