PCOS and trying to conceive

Hi!!! I just got diagnosed with PCOS. I am just wondering how long it look you to get pregnant if you have PCOS? I'm getting married in 10 months and want to start a family immediately after we get married. So, I just want to know how long i should expect to be trying and if you took anything else besides Clomid? I just heard there are some serious side effects by taking that and want to know if there's another thing I could take?
