this topic has also been beaten to death lately. it's not the damn ring that makes the man. if Ur that vain that Ur worried about a cheap ugly ring, then Ur marrying for the wrong reasons. this was my engagement ring.  it's black titanium with cubic zirconia stone. 300 bucks. on the inside,  it says:" I loved you then, I love you now, I love you forever " and I'm proud to wear it.

I guess my SO and I are wayyy too close since I would expect to have talked this issue over a billion times by then, no matter what that means. Expectations are really important. It’s not supposed to be a surprise. It should be a commitment.

Im going to be completely honest and say I would definitely say yes, of course... But would ask for a ring change. Especially if he just got that ring because of money situations. I’d simply just ask if we could replace it in a few years when we have more income coming in. He shouldn’t have to break the bank just to propose to me and get married since, like the others said “You’re marrying the man, not the ring”🙄.
But still I like rings and I’d want a prettier one eventually 😂

He’s like the most important person in my life aside from my son, so I really don’t care if he proposes with a bad ring. Or no ring at all. Or if he doesn’t propose at all. As long as we’re together and happy, we’re good. I wouldn’t want an expensive ring anyway. There are so many better things to spend money on. If it’s ugly then it’s ugly. I’m not concerned about it.

Well I honestly don’t really care about rings but I guess he has a lot of money and buying himself stuff but didn’t save for proposal I would be upset. If he just doesn’t have a lot of money then he obviously can’t afford it and it should not be an issue.
