my bf is friends with all his ex's and friends ex's he calls them hot, beautiful, sweetie etc is this ok? he thinks it is and I'm insecure and jealous

im still friends with two of my ex's(we are all married), but they dont call me sweetie or hot and i dont call them that either. to me those names should only be used towards the person you are currently dating or married to. if those bother you and he wont change it then you have to decide if you want to deal with it, or end the relationship and find someone who can respect your wishes. my philosophy is your never going to get everything you want in a relationship so its up to you to decide what's most important to you, or what values you hold at a higher standard than others. to him the names could just be that...a name. gies aren't as deep as girls when it comes to certaim things. sometimes we look into things a lot deeper than they do. lol.

In most cases if your significant other is friends with their ex you shouldn't worry. There's nothing wrong with feeling insecure, but are you being insecure or do you not trust him, or both? Don't be afraid to sit him down and tell him the way he associates with his exes makes you feel uncomfortable and that you'd appreciate it if he'd not use pet names towards them because you want him to talk to you, his girl, like that and not the girls who had him before. Your needs should be put above his exes and if they don't like that then I guess they don't need to be his friend if they can't respect your relationship. If he isn't okay with making you feel more secure in your relationship then I'd double think whether your relationship is making you happy because if you're not happy the way you're being treated then don't stay with someone who isn't gonna care about your needs.

I’m friends with some of my exes and OH is friends with one of his and her whole family. He hates his ex wife but is still friendly with all of her family. I guess if you are in a trusting relationship it’s no issue at all.
