Does your SO take you out in public to eat?

Hey guys,

My SO and I have been dating for the past 3 months, and we’ve never been on a date. The first time, he planned the dinner date and I agreed to meet up with him at the restaurant as soon as I got off work. However, I was a little worried and I called and texted him a few times to find out where he was and if he was okay but all to no reply. The restaurant did not have much people and I didn’t want the manager to throw me out so I waited in the parking lot but he didn’t show up.

The next day, I was at work and I tried to find out what happened to him and he claimed that he was at the hospital because he claimed that he ate something at his grandmother’s house which was a lie to me.

Now 3 months into the relationship, we don’t go out much and every time we do, we always hang out at my house, go to McDonald’s, ordering food and I’m getting sick of it.

He even told me that this past Saturday evening, he and his older son went to Red Lobster. I have nothing against his sons when they spend time together, however, I don’t understand why he can’t take me out to eat.

Sometimes, I feel that he’s ashamed to be seen with me in public or he thinks I’m not worth going to Red Lobster or any other restaurant for that matter, other than McDonald’s or something. What do you guys think? I’m just hurt.

I’m going to get some things about him out of the way:

1. He is gainfully employed

2. He has 2 kids from his baby mother and he has no romantic ties with her
