A normal heartbeat at 6-7 weeks would be 90-110 beats per minute. Talk to your doctor because there might be some exceptions.

Is it possible you aren't as far along as you thought? If they are simply measuring from LMP and not the size of the fetal pole you could really be between 5-6 weeks. When baby's heart first starts to beat, it's lower like our heart rate. Mine was 89 at 5w6d and the tech said it had probably just started beating in the last day or so.

If it was steady at 80, and not going up and down at random intervals, it could be normal.. That's what happened with my first pregnancy, heartbeat was low (around 72) and variable, so I had to go back for more ultrasounds, and baby stopped developing shortly after the first u/s. But again, if it's not variable that might be nothing to worry about. Heart has only just started beating, it's gotta work its way up. Good luck, and try not to worry too much!
