How often do you pump?

I am exclusively breastfeeding but trying to pump so that when I return to work I will have a good supply. So how many times a day do you pump?

I pump every 2-3 hours & after each feeding. If baby is sleeping I'll pump & let my LO sleep.

I exclusively pump for my little man. I am down to five pumps a day and pump anywhere from 40-50oz. I started pumping 6-8 times per day to build up my supply. No set times other than 10pm and than 7am. During the day I just try to fit 2-3 pumps in whenever.

I pump every morning after my son feeds so around 7-8 am, and sometimes I pump during the day if he doesnt drain both breasts or sleeps at the breast and doesnt eat much. I feed on demand and he will be a month old next week so he still wakes up around 2-3 times a night to eat so i do not pump at night yet but plan to once he starts sleeping longer. By doing this and using a milk saver (highly recommend) i have been able to freeze 4oz on average a day.

4 times a day 25 mins. I'm getting about 40 oz a day. I'm 3 weeks postpartum. I think having the right shield flange size is important. I had to get the 21mm size cause the regular medium one was pulling my areola in causing damage.

That makes me feel like a slacker. I only pump after my son eats in the mornings (around 7) and at night because he's sleeping 5-6 hours now. I only get 3-4 ounces total each time. So, I'm only freezing about 8 oz. a day. I guess I should start trying to get a better stash going. My son is 6 weeks, and my maternity leave is 12 weeks.

😁 Only once in the middle of the night (I get about 5oz each breast), but only because LO sleeps through the night. I wonder if I should be pumping more after reading all these comments! But then I would be constantly, in one way or another, extracting milk from my boobs (pumping or baby is eating...baby eats every two hours😬). That does not sound like a productive day at all :p

Pumping hurts my nipples so only 1-2 times a day, like if baby sleeps thru feeding

I haven't started yet, but I have heard pump after each feeding..keep pumping and the supply will continue to be there.
