Pregnancy test on continuous birth control

I missed a pill and think I should take a pregnancy test, but I’m on continuous birth control. So I don’t know when I should take the test since I didn’t technically miss a period. My period isn’t due for 6 weeks, but I don’t want to wait that long to see if I miss it or not. I had sex 4 weeks ago. Is it soon enough to take a test and have it be accurate? Any thoughts/advice would be greatly appreciated
