Investigators are releasing little information about a shooting this week that left a man dead. Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call about a shooting at about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. Upon arrival, deputies found a man inside his home with apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene investigators said. Police conducted interviews throughout the day and have suspects, but no one was in custody as of Friday evening. The victim did not own the residence, but lived there with the owner and another tenant, both of which were at home the time of the shooting.  One of the tenants called 911. "We've responded to cause there, but they were basic service - burglaries, theft." The investigator said.

I know the victim personally. (Lets call him dave. The owner is Stew. And the girlfriend is Lora...) His mother received a phone call days prior to the incident from her son stating stew was out of control. Saying that Stew was popping off bullets yelling that if Dave tried to get in the middle of his relationship again, he would be dead. Dave wasn't able to leave the area due probation.

According to his mom, Dave had stopped Stew from beating on Lora multiple times. Dave has no history of domestic violence.

Stew, who has admitted to shooting Dave, is claiming self defense. He states that he walked in on Dave beating on Lora and was trying to protect her. His first wife also died suspiciously. She supposedly died after jumping from their 2nd story balcony. There were plenty of suspicions and speculation, but without evidence it was ruled suicide.

The are 13 gunshot wounds on Dave. 4 of which are from the back, and one in the head. 

Dave's mother is convinced that her son is the victim of murder.  The police are saying there is not enough evidence for them to believe it's not self defense. The investigation is still ongoing, but they have told Dave's mother that they are likely going to close it as Self defense.
