Going home for the entire Thanksgiving weekend, and was excited for my family to finally meet our baby, Cooper. However, my parents said he could not come inside the house. They didn't care that he is house trained, does not get on furniture, and has gone on several weekend trips with us already. I even offered to sweep and vacuum their entire house right before we leave! My sister lives in the same town and also will not allow him in the house. The compromise is keeping him in the garage or outside. I guess I can accept that, it's just sad that they do not see him as 'family', when he is an integral part of my life.
