IUD Removal & Pregnancy?!

I will preface this story as... I sound young and newly married but I am 31 and we have been together for 8 years lol

Sooooo.... I had my IUD out after 8 years (of pure bliss of NO AF!) on October 2nd after our wedding on Sept 23 and before our honeymoon on Oct 26. The doctor warned me that I might have spotting I said “Who the hell cares?! I want the chance to get pregnant on my honeymoon in Disney!!!”

Got it out and... over a week later AF arrived, the almighty flood gates opened after years!

I didn’t know they made Ultra and Super plus tampons until then! Holy cow!

All blew over AF left and we went on our fabulous honeymoon, love filled to be exact and now I’m here... 3 days after AF is due, dry as the desert in July and I’m getting excited!

I know that after IUD removal it may take some time to get a regular cycle but is it bad to get excited?! I bought a box of First Response tests and I’m excited to take one but really trying to hold off and not get too excited too soon.

I’ll see what happens... if AF comes by Wednesday morning, no test. *sigh*

**UPDATE** Wednesday morning has come and AF hasn’t so... I took a test this morning. It’s a big ole NEG on the PREG but... it was a tad optimistic for me to think things took the first month. Now it’s time to sit around and wait for some punctuation at the end of the month ☹️
