Update: My parents are beyond amazing! We were talking about themes for the nursery and said I was annoyed because all crib sets come with the skirt. And since we are using the pack n play it was pointless to have the crib Skirt. Well my dad decided that it was unacceptable for his grand baby to not have a crib. His exact words were if he has a bed the baby gets a bed 🤣 So he said we’d go shopping that weekend and I could pick out a crib! Seriously the nicest gift!!! My husband and I could not be more appreciative of it.

I’ve always dreamt of creating a beautiful nursery for my child. Just like all the amazing ones I’ve seen on here and on Pinterest. But the reality is that we can’t afford to buy much of anything. Not even a crib. We found a pack n play at a kids consignment store for about $30 and unless we are gifted with a crib will be using that for a while. I just feel so bad that we can’t afford these things for our baby. We are relying on baby shower gifts and I don’t think our families truly understand that. Especially when my mom keeps asking what our nursery theme is...when honestly I’m not sure we’re gonna be able to do much. And it just breaks my heart 😔
