Should I buy a crib or a pack n play?

I hear many moms say they didn't use one or the other. I was thinking of maybe getting a crib that turns into a toddler bed but I also thought the pack n play was good because we will be traveling. 
Which one worked for you or do you recommend?

We have both as well. Crib, bassinet, & a pack n play. 
Bassinet for baby sleeping in our room for the first 1-2 months. Move into crib after that. 
Pack n play for downstairs for naps and to just play with toys in while I️ do dishes or something of the sort. 
Ever family is different so whatever you could see yourself using the most I️ would get that.

chose crib if you always sleep at home & always home with the baby but if your gonna be more on the go then pack & play! We have a pack & play & don’t even use it, but we have a pack & play at the grandparents house so occasionally when she goes there she sleeps in it! I’d choose crib over pack & play any day!

We got a convertible crib and also a pack n play. The pack n play we got is pretty light and portable, perfect for traveling.

we have both. for different reasons. it's all about what works best for your family!

We're getting this pack n play for the first months (it has a bunch of features), so she can be in our room, then moving her to a crib in her own room, and the pack n play will still be useful for being downstairs, sleepovers at grandma's or traveling.
