Is it wrong to name my daughter Emma if my cousin also has a daughter named that.. I just have always loved the name Emma!?!

There's a LOT of Emma's in the world. She doesn't own the name, and they probably won't see THAT much of each other as time goes on...

I wouldn't do it, and would be pretty annoyed if someone in my family called their daughter the same as mine. 
Each to their own I guess but to me a name should be unique (says the girl with a really common name) lol

No it’s not wrong. Go for it if you like it. You may choose to let her know you’re sticking to it because you’ve always liked the name. Emma is common.

I mean if you guys are close it might be a little weird but other than the weirdness she would just have to get over it because it’s your baby. I can see both sides of the situation if I were her I’d be annoyed, but if I were you I’d do it anyway lol if that even makes sense I hope it helps

Personally I wouldn’t. But you can ask. That’s my name and as cute as it is. I find that being a 31 year old and getting scolded for touching things at the store gets pretty funny when I respond to their moms.

I have two cousins named Emma, both named after my Granny. There's about a 16 year gap between them though. I don't see anything wrong with it. If you love it, go for it!

I think it depends on how close you are with her. Maybe talk to her about it. She may be flattered.

Maybe you could name her something longer like Emmaline and have Emma be a nickname so that when they're together you have some way to differentiate? Or just call her by her first and middle name when you're together.
