Should I tell my doctor about me cutting?

So I have a doctors appointment tommorow and I’m debating on if I should tell him about that I have cut myself. The only thing that’s holding me back is that I don’t have any scars so does that mean it’s not serious?

I cut to and just cuz there's no scars do t mean it isn't serious if u are getting depressed enough  to wven think about it makes it serious you might just tell him your getting drepessed and then see where it goes from there

I did self harm from 9-13. I’m 13 right now. On the road to some recovery. So my story goes, I had only told a few friends, then my whole class knew. How embarrassing. They thought I was mental and delusional. Then one of my friends told the social worker at school that I was cutting and being suicidal, I talked to her. I hated it. She told my parents. My mom picked me up. She was calm about, she wasn’t mad. She was quite understanding, but she wanted answers. She asked me if I thought it  was time for antidepressants, I said I don’t care. I went to the doctor, my mom told the doctor. I showed the doctor. And I’m still on antidepressants. So it’s up to you. I would because it actually really helped me. I hated it, and I still hate it to this day. But they needed to know

yes!  they have to keep everything confidential.  she will want to put you on an anti depressant. maybe counseling. I know counseling doesn't sound fun or anything but talking to someone you barely know is sometimes better than opening up to a friend or someone you know.  it sounds kinda dumb but I met one of my best friends online when we opened up about our depression to each other.

I use to cut myself when I was younger, I have well over 100 scars on my left arm... looks like my forearm went through a meat grinder. Scar or not cutting is serious, you should tell your Dr. Stay safe. ❤
