Hi everyone :)

i have the mirena IUD for almost 4 years now. Last year i wanted it removed but when i went to my obgyn he could not find the strings. he sent me for an ultrasound to make sure it was in the right place and hadnt moved. the ultrasound came back fine but life happened and i never went back to remove it. recently ive been wanting to take it out and since ive lost about 60lbs(i still have more to lose to be at a healthy BMI/weight) but ive decided since we do want to try for baby#2 soon that getting the mirena taken out now would be best. i want to let my body regulate, get rid of the extra hormones and lose more weight. im so terrified because the ob wont be ordering a new ultrasound. so he'll be going in to remove it "blind" basically.has anyone experienced this? or similar? praying all goes well and the IUD can be removed no complications or pain!
