Just started my BC, had unprotected sex can I become pregnant still?

I just started my Xulane Patch yesterday, and had sex with my fiance and he ended up finishing in me. Will it cancel out his sperm or could I get pregnant from that because it has only been on a day?

Yes you can. You're supposed to use other forms of safe sex when you first start bc. Pretty sure for the first month.

Yes it's possible. My doctor (and instructions with the chosen method) always said it takes 7 days to be fully protected.

Definitely a possibility. You need to be a birth control for atleast a month for it to become effective. (Like the previous ladies said.) :)

I was always told to use other forms of protection for the first 7 days of starting BC and then it was safe. But then again that's just what my OB and my other doctors have told me.

Yes. It takes about a month for bc to be fully effective.
