39 weeks & 6 Days!

Brittney

Baby is a week old today but I’m just not getting around to posting!

Wow so I never expected to be pregnant that long😂 My first pregnancy I went into labor at 38 weeks. Got an epidural and it didn’t work, I felt her come out...head...shoulders & then the tearing! And then I felt the stitching of the tear (which was the worst part)

This time around was COMPLETELY different thank you Jesus! So I woke up at 5am on my first daughters 3rd Birthday light cramping and some bloody show. I knew it would be soon but I swore it wouldn’t be the same day as daughters bday. By 8am I was contracting pretty painfully but bearable. Went to Walmart to get a cake, candles, gifts for Riley (first daughter), contractions coming just about every 7mins, I held out until about 1pm then we headed to the hospital and I was dilated to a 6. My husband was stuck and hour away and I was progressing quickly, I told nurses and they did everything they could to not progress labor anymore than my body was. I put in request for my epidural as soon as I was put into a room, epidural was in and I was feeling nothing!!! It was so amazing. I was so shocked that it actually worked! By the time my husband got there I was an 8, when they checked me I felt nothing. And it was so refreshing to not feel that. Checking me broke my water and then we waited! Nurse came in and told me to do a practice push to see if she would move down from that. SHE DID ALOT! We were to start pushing, I asked for a mirror so I could see what my body was doing! It was amazing. I felt no pain and saw my baby girl come into the world! 3 pushes and 4 minutes later she was here! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 lots of bruising from coming out so fast but man was she pretty! So blessed to have had such awesome nurses and easy delivery!

Layton Kori Kilpatrick came at 5:44pm 7lbs6oz and 19 inches long! Keep in mind we saw a specialist for her bones being too small! So we are so surprised at how healthy and chunky our girl is! And born on her sisters birthday! November 8th! #blessed #sohappy
