Tubes flushed

I just had my Fallopian tubes flushed monday but my dr didn’t do any X-rays or ultrasound. Is this common? I thought dye was pushed in and X-rays used to monitor it.  She just pushed the fluid in after saying she couldn’t get the catheter all the way in and “hopes we got enough in there”. Should I look for a different dr? She didn’t even talk to me afterwards or before hand.  It would have been nice knowing exactly what to expect and to know there was going to be a nurse practitioner in there. I’ve been going to her since August and I feel like I leave with more questions than answers.
