LABOR AND DELIVERY NURSE?!

any one here a labor and delivery nurse? Can you tell me about you’re expierence? If you don’t mind, how much you make? And how easy/ hard it is to find a job? Is there benefits? How long did it take you? Any and all information! Thank you ❤️

I'm a L & D nurse in Canada. There is always a nursing shortage here, so the jobs are everywhere. There is nothing easy about nursing school and even less so to train further into a speciality. It is a demanding job physically and emotionally, but it is the greatest job!

Not an L&D; nurse, but I'm a NICU nurse and can tell you (most) hospitals pay nurses based off years of experience, not what specialty you're in.  If you have a bachelor's degree, some places will pay you a little more.  Pay varies by state, region, hospital, etc.  It takes a lot of hard work to become a nurse, then more hard work to train in a specific specialty.  It's very rewarding though.

Also, finding a job varies by region ... there is a nursing shortage, but not always in the specialty you want to work in.
