Breastfeeding vs. pumping and bottle breast milk.

Is it the same? I am breastfeeding right now but I am miserable and it's only gettingn worse. I can't gauge how much my dd is getting and we are always awake bc I think she is always hungry. Breast feeding hasn't been easy for me as it's painful and I've had to go to the LC 3 times since birth 31/2 weeks ago. I want to pump and switch to bottles but I'm afraid I will lose some of the benefits of breast feeding for my baby. Or will she still get the benefits of she is bottle fed?
