Coworker vent time π¬π¬
Sooo ladies I need to vent and this is the perfect place to do it
So about 3 weeks ago I started my new job. Iβm a server at a retirement home for the richπ΅πΌπ΄πΌ
From the moment I met my coworker I knew I wasnβt going to like him. When the Orientation manager asked all of us how we heard about the job. I said a friend of mine works there ( aka my boyfriend, but I never told them that they figured it out because of social media later on) however my coworker immediately said his girlfriend there
Fast forward to training about 3 days later and they teach us every from serving tables, taking orders, and most importantly holding or looking behind you as you exit the kitchen doors everytime you walk out Incase a runner or another server comes with food that way they donβt end up getting hit with the door or drop/ spill the food.
But this guy literally Ignores this rule and because of him. Myself and some servers have dropped hot soup. So for the first few days I thought it was normal since he was new but apparently after 3 weeks he still has yet to learn to follow.
I also noticed that when we all line up to hear the menu he likes making necessary rude comments under his breath such as β can your big headed a** just stop talkingβ while the chef was talking. Followed by acting like he doesnβt care at all about this job
On the weekend following our first day we all had a training and we all went to the wrong room because we missed heard the location. My boyfriends friends decided to joke around with my boyfriend about taking us to the wrong room... and here comes this guy and says β dam you flawgenβ like what the hell does that mean. So Some of them said β have some respect heβs been here a year, youβve been here 4 daysβ
Heβs the type of coworker that when we go to place the dirty silverware and dishes he throws the silver ware into the trays filled with hot water as if it was basketball and it ends up splashing people
Today I had the last straw with this guy..
There was about 7 of us in the back trying to clear our plates and put our dirty silverware where they go and here he comes and throws it and ends up splashing on my shirt. At this point I tell him β yo you need to quit throwing it, you keep wetting peopleβ him and his little girlfriend started laughing like little kids when I snapped . so I stormed off to the drink section of the kitchen so I could cool off and dry my shirt, when I see him I told him βnext time try not to splash othersβ and there comes his girlfriend to defend him yelling at me saying β it was an accident, it was an accidentβ and I was like β laughing at an accident rightβ she didnβt even let her boyfriend stand up for himself cause she knew he didnβt have a defense. I refuse to work with them after that moment because a work place is for adults itβs not a playground.
Apparently they give anyone a job now a days
