Successful marriage after cheating??

Question

Anyone ever found out there husband cheated, reconnected, and had a successful marriage afterwards? Most people would leave but I️ know a few couples who have tried to work it out. If you have, stories please!!!

No. My husband of 10 years wasn’t sorry and had no intentions of stopping.  So no. I booted him out instantly
My ex boyfriend cheated. We were together 5 years when I was 20-25 years old. I tried to forgive and take him back. It didn’t work. I realized I deserved better and finally walked away.

I do know people who ha e had a successful marriage.. she was willing to fully forgive.. you can’t hold it over their head forever .. or It won’t work.. but for me I could never forget

My uncle cheated on my aunt when we were little. But they worked thru it. And now they are celebrating there 25th anniversary soon. They are happier then ever before! So I mean if you both are commited into making it work, not letting the past repeat.. Forgive and forget..

We are in the process of attempting to work it out. He got caught cheating in 2016 and we actually got divorced this past March but I do love him and he is my best friend and son's dad so we are in both individual counseling and marriage counseling to try and rebuild what was broken between us. Even if all that happens is we gain the ability to communicate honestly it'll be worth every penny (we still live together because of financial reasons so its a must). We started counseling in August and so far its going really well, I hope it continues for us.
