Husband and I had not been actively trying to conceive and I take adderall. Before you know I find out I'm pregnant. This means I've been taking it throughout the 4 weeks the baby was conceived and developing- my doctor says it's a super low dose so as long as taking it is a necessity then she is for it but obviously keeping it low dose and as needed only. I am actually a very natural organic type of person, but unfortunately this is the only medication I have actually needed and it is def hard to function at work without it. I know not taking it is best route for pregnancy, but I'm truly conflicted after talking with my doctor and having heard other women have taken it during pregnancy with no problems. There are no known defects or health issues related to taking this during pregnancy other than possible low birth weight when taken in high doses. Regardless I am super paranoid and only want the best for my baby's health. Looking to see if there are other ladies here that take this or any other medication and understand where I'm coming from? I'm so conflicted. Please do not think I'm selfish for asking about this- this is my first pregnancy and a zillion things are running through my mind. Emotions are high.
