What was your BF/ Pumping schedule from the beginning?
Hi ladies, my baby boy is not due until may but breastfeeding is my number one priority when he comes. I've done research but I really want to read and know as much as I can. it seems your supposed to nurse on command or every 2 to 3 hours and not to introduce a bottle for a few weeks until you get a schedule and get the latch perfected so they don't get confused. I am planning on pumping and freezing because I'll have to go back to work 3 days a week once my maternity leave is up. I'm a first time mom and i have a lot of questions. If you nurse every two hours do you use the off hour to pump? Can I keep pumped milk in the fridge up to 12 hrs before freezing? ( freezing Up to 4 months in a regular freezer) Do you start pumping from the beginning (colostrum) or do you wait to start pumping until your actual milk comes in? How soon do you introduce the bottle before you go back to work?
Sorry for so many questions.. any article recommendations I'd love too 😁
