I'm making progress! My boyfriend and I have a 6 month old son together. I had bad PPD and got on prozac, and it's helped me tremendously. My boyfriend is depressed, and has been for as long as I can remember. He's got the kind of family that believes depression is an "in your head" kind of thing. They'd never take him to be seen for it, therefor he never wanted to go once he had his own insurance (he's 23.) I finally talked him into going to be seen and hopefully treated for the depression he's been going through. He told me to call the family dr and make an appointment for him. He's got an appointment tomorrow morning at 8:30. I'm so proud of him for coming to terms that he needs help. I believe once he saw how the prozac worked for me, he believed in the power of medication. Fingers crossed he gets the help he needs.
