Too early to tell family?

I am 5weeks today after a miscarriage is early February. My MIL is coming to dtay for the weekend and we have family gatherings all weekend. I'm so excited about being pregnant again but nervous to tell my family because of the past miscarriage. The family is big on social drinking and I'm going to have to decline the wine or somehow fake me drinking. Any thoughts on if I should tell my family or wait until my first appointment, which is in 3 weeks!

Thank you everyone! My parents ended up coming over for dinner tonight and I gave them the exciting news. Of course they were extremely excited. I feel so much better now and excited to tell my husbands parents tomorrow.

I advocate for telling your parents. They will will be so extremely happy for you and heaven forbid something were to happen you can lean on them.

I think you should tell them. My family is my rock. If anything were to happen then I would lean on them for support.

Maybe if you just explain. They should understand because it's your family. Or act as if it's that waiting period where it's too early to test but a possibility. Like you don't already know

Found out I am pregnant the other day and contemplating telling my parents, not sure if I should now or until 12 weeks.
