Small bumpers?
Anyone else out there have a "small bump"? While my doctor has never been worried, and measurements have always been great, I have been told for months and months how small I am. I am now 35 weeks (technically tomorrow but it's 11:35pm) and it still is the most consistent thing people say when seeing me and finding out my due date. I'm people mean well, it's always supposed to be a compliment when you are "small" but it makes me so mad. On my way into the office this morning a coworker I hadn't seen in a few weeks asked how I was feeling and when the baby was due. I said December 22nd, just 36 more days, and she immediately said "wow you are not very big at all!"... "yeah I know that's what I keep hearing", sounding a little bummed I'm sure. "oh it's a good thing, you're lucky!" she responded. I got off the elevator and spent the next 30 minutes in my head wanting to post Facebook or just shout out to everyone "Stop telling me my belly is small!!!!!!!". it has been my biggest pet peeve this entire pregnancy because I have wanted nothing more than to be pregnant for the last 3 years!!! And now I am and I am so happy, and love my belly and feel the most beautiful I have ever felt, and yet people won't stop reminding me that I don't look pregnant enough. I don't know why I am carry so small. I started overweight, I am 5'8" and was about 190-195 lbs. My doctor recommended I shoot for 15 to 20 lbs of weight gain. I initially dropped down to 185 for quite a few weeks and now am right at 200. I am fairly large chested and have a long torso, so I don't know if all of this just makes me carry the weight differently? at my 34 week appt my fundal height was 33-34cm as it should be. Anyway just venting. Anyone else out there in the same boat?
