I work as a server at a grille and pub in a small rich town, most of the cooks who do work here work long days, open to close. As well as some dish washers.

So mommies, and mommies to be I need some major advise because I don’t know what to do.

We don’t have functioning cameras but I know for a fact I’m not the only one however I am the only one who thinks something should be done about it.

Ever since being pregnant, my babies father and I haven’t even been in a relationship we broke up a couple months before it happened. I’m not sure if that makes the male kitchen staff think I’m easy or what.

But the main cook I have an issue with is the lead cook and kitchen manager, has hugged me from behind, smacked my butt, asked me when I’m going to “give it up to him” and so on... some days because I’d give him a dirty look and say to stop, he’d call me a whore when I left the room

I finally had the nerve to go off and tell him I deserve respect. I’m not a hooker or a stripper and I’m not interested I’m his co worker nothing more. I mentioned pressing charges to a co worker.. I hoped she would be on my side but she just said that they’ll fire me before they let go of their best cook.

I accepted that it’s probably true and I can’t afford to lose this job.. so I just avoided him and things went smoothly, aside from any mistakes the kitchen made.

Today however, he started asking how I was and how the baby was and how I felt. I was being nice and answering his questions. He said hes also got a baby on the way and I congratulated him.

He grabbed my ass and when I swatted at his hand and said to stop he called me a tease to my face, and once again a whore when I left the room,.. and completely screwed up all my tables orders on purpose all day. I’m to the point I wish I could press charges. Because it’s now messing with my money.

In the given situation is losing my job worth keeping my dignity? I can’t get the girls to band together to help, I feel like most of them honestly enable it. I’ve been told be nice to him or your entire work life will suck here. I just don’t know why we have to take this.
